Tyvek Designer White Raincoat with Wheatgrass

Designer Airi Isoda of Wrk-Shp gets our vote for creating perhaps the most innovative piece of apparel made of DuPont Tyvek.

Isoda, a designer whose 2011 fall winter collection uses materials from architecture in clothing, created this raincoat which utilizes rainwater to feed wheatgrass. Isoda sells each raincoat with a packet of wheatgrass.

The stark white raincoat made of Tyvek, which by the way is recyclable, coupled with the vibrant green contrasting wheatgrass is not only a unique and innovative fashion forward idea, but it’s also, dare we say, the greenest raincoat we’ve ever seen.

So if you are ready to design your own Tyvek clothing, shoes, jacket or other Tyvek apparel, contact Material Concepts for Tyvek material selection information, or buy Tyvek online from Material Concepts, a Dupont Tyvek authorized master distributor.
